The goal of Apollo is to provide the modern composer with real guitar samples, strums, and sounds made straight from the best guitars, effects pedals, amps, and signal flow possible. The Ambient Designer category delivers an experimental approach to sound design by engineering various tonal and non-tonal sounds to create custom guitar-based atmospheres. It utilizes various noises and sounds made solely with the guitar, including guitar plucks, phrases, violin bow on strings, fingers sliding on strings, white noise, amp buzz, and much much more. Each of these sounds can be combined, mixed, and panned to create the perfect atmosphere for compositions across all genres. The Pads category puts sound design into the hands of the user. Apollo features the ability to load and mix two unique pads, allowing for the creation of thousands of unique guitar-based pads. The Swells category is a vast collection of sounds giving you the option to trigger strums of both high and low iterations of major and minor chords for each sound. Individual notes were sampled per sound in order to give the user the ability to create their own voicings. The Phrase Builder category places common and unique phrase options at the user's fingertips. Particularly for use in film and television, simple phrases underscore much of what is seen. Working with top television guitarists, Vir2 created an unparalleled approach to using pre-recorded content, giving the user the option of combining shortened phrases to build their own performance. The Instruments category is a simple approach to creating effortless performances on the fly with various multi-sampled instruments. The instruments included are acoustic guitar, acoustic guitar harmonics, electric guitar harmonics, electric bass, electric guitar, and sitar.
