Eplan Electric P8 v2.5 (x64)



EPLAN Software & Service GmbH & Co., a provider software for global engineering solutions, has released 2.5 version of EPLAN Platform P8. The new version helps you manage engineering data consistently from concept design, through detailed engineering all the way to manufacturing and service. The focus lies on decreasing processing time and simple management.
Terminals technology has developed a lot since the initial conception. Nowadays terminals are complex devices that service various different applications. The newest version of EPLAN offers you an extended terminal editing environment. A graphical representation of the terminals and additional editing functions will allow for quick and easy management and validation of terminal strips.

Using the new macro navigator, managing macro projects and schematic templates will become even easier. Through clear structures and better organization, high quality template libraries will ensure a better quality of the projects and accelerate the generation of documentation.

Using the FieldSys module, cables can now be planned even earlier during the engineering process. Without detailed engineering, using single-line diagrams, cables can be planed, automatically routed and cable lengths can be automatically calculated.

Using mounting layout templates, 2D enclosure layouts required by manufacturing as documentation can easily and quickly be generated directly from 3D enclosure representation. This can save a lot of engineering time currently being used in detail engineering. Additionally dimensioning of device positions, drilling positions or cut-outs can be automatically generated creating a huge time-saving in the creation of manufacturing documentation.

The EPLAN Platform 2.5 will be delivered as a 64bit Version only. Office 32bit can still be used, however, SQL or SQL Express will then be needed for the parts database, the translation database and the project management database. Otherwise if Access is needed for the parts, translation and project database, then Office 64bit is required.
